My name is Alyssa Junious and I am a San Diego based arts and wellness advocate. II grew up immersed in the arts and my work is influenced by my diverse training in dance, music and theatre. I received my B.F.A in Performance and Choreography from the University of California, Irvine and professionally I have worked in the concert dance, musical theatre and commercial industry. I am the founder of Continuum Arts Project and choreograph throughout Southern California. I am passionate about sharing my creative process because I believe that art is a learned skill. It is a way for us to explore, investigate, and heal collectively. As a social conscious artist, I am dedicated to creating work that serves to initiate conversation. I believe social change starts within. My work serves to protest injustice, proclaim life’s gifts and provide for my community.
As a social conscious artist, I am dedicated to creating work that inspires change and initiates conversation. I am fascinated with the art of storytelling and use dance, theatre, and music to support the stories I share in my work. I believe storytelling is our birthright. It's truly how we've been able to evolve and survive. Stories capture moments and shed light on the human experience. "

My work is inspired by the strong women that have surrounded me growing up, specifically the black women who have helped make me who I am today. They have always supported me in my efforts and taught me to love my body, my culture, and my community in a world where blackness is not always appreciated, and when it is, it's only because it is deemed popular by others who are not black. Within the yoga community, there are not many black practitioners or yoga teachers and it can be difficult to sometimes get our voices heard, but I always work to make sure black people are represented in the yoga community and I purposely always reach out to black students who come take my class to make them feel welcomed."

DANCER | PHOTOPGRAPHER | MEDIA SPECIALIST
After receiving his B.F.A in dance choreography from the University of California, Irvine, Akinyola (Aki) pursued a career in media. In 2018 he began working as a production assistant for Raw Media House, a video production company where he'd work along side producing video content for music artist and brands such as 2 Chainz, Snoop Dog, Logic, Ciroc, Patron Tequila, etc. He has also had the privilege of choreographing a music video for Trinidad James which is set to release late in the year.
I live by not focusing on what makes me different but what similarities there are. It gives me an understanding that we should embrace the differences that make a difference. I also believe that my surroundings inspires my work(s). I utilize interactions with my environment, people, traffic, weather conditions, etc. to build a world from ideation to completion. So, a lot of my work is a reflection on things I've encountered or my reactions to certain events. "
