Essence Florie Jasperse is a professional teacher, dancer, and choreographer from Thousand Oaks, California. Essence graduated from California Lutheran University (CLU) in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine. With a strong passion for teaching dance, Essence decided to pursue a career in education. In 2015, she obtained her teaching credential in Physical Education from CLU, followed by a Master's degree in Education, with an emphasis on Teacher Leadership. Essence has extensive training in multiple styles of dance including ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and heels, and has been teaching dance for 14 years. Additionally, she has trained and choreographed on many promising dancers and upcoming recording artists in the Los Angeles area, including Evan Craft, Djoir Jordan, and Juliet Piper. Essence has performed and choreographed for a number of artists around the world including the Ciclovida Tour with Evan Craft in South America and the Name On It Tour with Djoir Jordan in the Middle East. Currently, she is dancing for The Hubbard Collective by Irishia Hubbard and The Vixens by David Slaney. Finally, Essence is passionate about helping dancers meet their goals and fulfill their greatest potential both in dance and in life off the dance floor.
Anthony Languren is a contemporary dance maker. He has previously trained/worked with Amy Bates-Nakamura, Mike Esperanza, Lee Martino, Tyce Diorio, and Will Johnston. Anthony currently holds his B.A in dance from Loyola Marymount University. He has had the privilege to present works and teach at Chapman University, Mt. San Antonio College, Loyola Marymount University, The American Dance Training Camp, Club Jete, Millennium OC, Boogiezone Utopia, The Lineage Emerging Artists Series, The American College Dance Festival, Dance Precisions, Gina Starbucks’ BODYTALK, and numerous other high schools/dance studios. Anthony splits the majority of his time between working with Elementary students in lower income schools and on the board of a nonprofit organization providing dance opportunities to students in lower income school districts.
Tarra Laperdon graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Social Policy/Public Service from The University of California, Irvine in 2015. Post-graduation, Tarra began her career in hospitality working at luxury hotels in California. Amid her career, she decided to travel abroad to Paris, France to study dance and learn the French language. Upon her return, she continued her hospitality journey as a Conference Service Manager at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach where she become a level 1 Sommelier. She also decided to gain a certification as a Barre Instructor for a local barre studio to fulfill her passion for dance and fitness.
Nicole Rivor is a dancer-singer who studied ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, tap, and improvisation. She attended UC Irvine, where she danced in the department’s two performing ensembles: Etude Ensemble and Insight Jazz Ensemble. She graduated cum laude from UC Irvine with a BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Anthropology in June 2015. After graduation she began dancing with JazzXchange, a company based in OC that keeps jazz alive through connecting to movement from Europe and Africa, and Multiplex Dance Company, a modern dance company in LA that integrates athletic and acrobatic movement with digital media and electronic music. She is currently dancing with the Hubbard Collective, which is a modern-fusion dance company that works to combine concert and commercial dance elements. She is the Co-Founder and Administrative Director for the “Shining Stars” Dance Organization, which is an outreach organization that provides free dance programs for underserved youth in OC. She currently teaches at My Gym Children’s Fitness Center, where she uses her passion for kids to enrich their lives through fun and fitness.
Noelle White is a Certified Pilates Teacher and has been studying and teaching the classical method created by Joseph Pilates since 2010 and 2013 respectively. She has experience managing a Pilates studio and directing community engagement for a Pilates company. Noelle was originally introduced to the Pilates method as a form of cross training to improve her dancing as a young adolescent. It wasn’t until she took her first session on the reformer at UC Irvine that she realized the power of this work. Upon working closely with Diane Diefenderfer at UC Irvine, Noelle decided to complete her 450 hour comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program at Studio du Corps of Orange County. Soon after completing her certification she moved to Los Angeles to teach at Equinox and mat classes at local dance studios. Noelle taught and managed a studio with Equinox for over 4 years. She then became the Community Director at Pilates Anytime where she strives to create an exceptional member experience.
